Due to the nature of the business, monitoring experience is a fundamental part of this position, so we are looking for candidates who have a confident understanding of the theory of monitoring, and are confident using technologies including Nagios, Datadog, Zabbix to name a few.
This position would be incredibly suitable for candidates who have a strong background in all aspects of Linux Engineering covering virtualisation, networking, scripting (Python), web applications (Apache), databases (NoSQL), with an interest in working with the latest and greatest technologies of today.
Your main responsibilities will be to monitor systems and alerting, operational reporting, Linux server management, and Linux security compliance.
Although his position will be heavily focussed around project work, you will also be expected to work with customers to ensure that your clients are fully aware of how the product works, and to act as an escalation point for any difficulties they may face. Because of this, we are looking for excellent communicators who have a strong attention to detail.
